" Every Night "
It's all dark, and she is feeling lonely
what more can it do, she asks it briefly
mind won't budge, even if she gave it a nudge
it's scary, it's collapsing, it all seems deadly
She doesn't have anyone, She feels walls narrowing
She is accompanied by no one, only the vast sea of poison
she asks herself almost often,
what has she become, what is it she feels is missing
but alas! there is no answer and the dark grips her slowly
she is alone, but she ain't got any clue
that, why does she suffer from this, she has no cue
she is crying, she is lying
all awake with eyes wide open
but all she can see is blackening dark
and the darkening black that surrounds all
she tries to close the eyes,
but it seems darker inside,
she tries to switch on the light,
but she is unable to find the light
she breathes, she attempts, she tries to elope
but the darkness crushes all and almost every hope
it's the dark night that never seems to end
it's the light at the other end that is never found
she gasps, she jumps, she lays on the side
but the darkness seems to be stretched far longer than the ocean
she somehow gathers the strength to fight
she tries to get up and knock it down
but the darkness and the tears have clouded the view
and the desire like the light is no where to review
she hates, she forgives, she loves
but no one is there to receive, share or even cuddle
it too shall pass, she thinks in her heart,
but will it? asks her heart in the mind.
she keeps sobbing without any sound
she goes on and on and on till she dries all the tears,
then again comes the darkness to harness the leftover hope,
she is defeated during every fight she takes with the dark
still she lays there, thinking this too shall pass,
but will it? will it?
asks silently the heart in her mind.
she doesn't answer, of course!
as she fights darkness every night....every night....
